indigenous peoples day new york city

October 13th - 14th, 2019 / Lenapehoking land

New york city / New York State

Statues crumble

We still remain

Last year the 45th President of the United States of America signed the papers making the Columbus statue in New York City a national monument. While many other states have progressed by adopting Indigenous Peoples Day,
New York State regressed - this is a huge step back.

Still, we must move forward. We must stand our ground and continue to persevere, show our resilience and educate OUR way.

We are the people.
We will not be silenced.
